Where things stand

Northwest Arkansas is going to need someone who already knows the roads.

We move people and goods across this region today. When autonomous vehicles are legal to operate in Arkansas, we intend to be the local operator running them — with the depot, the crew and the state approval already in place.

Occasional updates on service and regulatory progress. Nothing else.

How this actually gets here

Autonomous service in Arkansas follows a defined state process. We publish it because most people have not read it, and because a timeline you can verify is worth more than one you have to trust.

  1. 01

    Operating today

Noire Chauffeur runs professionally driven trips across Northwest Arkansas now — real vehicles, real dispatch, real riders. Autonomy is an upgrade to this, not a replacement for it.

  2. 02

    Program application

Arkansas approves autonomous vehicle programs through the State Highway Commission under A.C.A. § 27-51-2002, administered by ARDOT. That filing is the gate, and we are working it deliberately rather than waiting for someone to hand us permission.

  3. 03

    Six months supervised

State rules require a trained operator physically present in the vehicle for the first six months of an approved program. We treat that as the training period it is, not a hurdle to skip.

  4. 04

    Driverless service

Only after that requirement is lifted may a vehicle without conventional controls carry passengers in Arkansas. That is the honest timeline. Anyone promising sooner has not read the rules.

What we run now

A working operation

Dispatch, routing, driver onboarding, rider support and payment handling — built in-house and running in this market. The depot side of an autonomous fleet is the same work.

Two services, one crew

Noire Chauffeur for professionally driven premium trips. RoboTaxi NWA for affordable on-demand service as autonomy becomes available. Same depot, same cleaning standard, same people answering the phone.

Pricing you can read

Quoted before you ride. No surge, ever. No markup buried in the fare. We think the reason people distrust ride apps is that the number moves — so ours will not.

Local jobs, not eliminated ones

Autonomous fleets still need charging, cleaning, inspection and incident response, staffed by people. Those are the roles we intend to hire for here.
